Elegant Interiors was commissioned by a local property developer to provide a full home staging service for this new-build bungalow in Christchurch, Dorset. The brief was to demonstrate the property's potential to prospective purchasers and give each room a clear sense of purpose without making the scheme feel overly personal. Furniture, lighting, artwork and accessories were introduced throughout to create a cohesive and welcoming interior, helping buyers visualise how the spaces could be lived in while retaining broad market appeal.

Project Overview

Elegant Interiors were approached by a local developer and asked to stage a property as it had been on the market for some time and they were struggling to sell. After a consultation with the customer we provided a furniture, styling and installation package for this project and are very proud to say an offer was received the following week at the full asking price with a request to keep the furniture.

The brief was to introduce a sophisticated transitional style, combining clean contemporary lines with softer, more timeless detailing while incorporating selected furniture and artwork already owned by our clients. Bespoke joinery played an important role in both spaces, complemented by new furniture, fabrics, window treatments, lighting and accessories, together with recommendations to update the existing fireplace and log burner. Warm neutrals, natural timber and subtle bronze finishes bring the scheme together, creating interiors that feel considered, comfortable and individual.

For this principal bedroom refurbishment in Esher, Surrey, Elegant Interiors provided the interior design and procurement service, transforming a room that had remained largely unchanged since our clients moved into the property. The brief was to create a calm and tranquil retreat, developed around a soft neutral palette with subtle notes of sage. A bespoke feature headboard and chest of drawers were designed for the space, alongside new wallcoverings, paint finishes, flooring, window treatments, lighting, furniture, fabrics and accessories. The result is a restful, considered bedroom with a softer contemporary feel and a sense of understated elegance.

The scheme encompassed the double-height living area, lounge and the transformation of an existing TV room into a dedicated bar and entertaining space. The principal living areas were designed to feel calm, elegant and relaxed, with bespoke joinery, layered textures, wallcoverings, paint finishes, lighting and fabrics bringing warmth to the architecture. The bar was given a darker, more atmospheric identity, with bespoke joinery, new flooring and a gallery wall of personal photographs. Practical stain-resistant flooring and performance fabrics were selected with entertaining in mind, creating a cohesive home with distinct spaces for relaxed everyday living and more sociable occasions.
